#2 Celebrate Victories
Celebrating the victories along the way is vital. It's easy to waive off the wins. It's the ultimate display of a humble victor. However, allowing yourself to dismiss the impact of winning robs momentum and dilutes the positive force needed to persevere through difficult times. It's easy to focus on 'I can do better,' or 'I want to win more but take a moment to stare at what's right.

I listen to two people sitting at a beach and looking across the ocean. The first looks at the turbulent waves, kelp washed ashore, a beach littered with people and trash, and complains about the crowds. The second sees blue waters stretching to the horizon, hears the laughter of children splashing in the water, and soaks in the sun's rays that she basks in, saying 'Thank God!'

God wants us to celebrate the good things that happen, and enjoy the victories along the way...just long enough to praise Him for His blessing, then press on. These are gifts from God that shift focus to the positive. That fill us with joy and a sense of praise for all that is right in our world. As importantly, it erases the negatives that abound, and is magnetic towards a life with Christ.

"Jesus, I want to attract, not repel. I want every action I take, every statement I make to shout joy for what You do in my life. In humility, help me celebrate the victories, then refocus on pursuit of the next. You are my Joy-giver! I love you Jesus, Amen!"
