'taking action with Christ'
#3 Know Who You Are
Knowing your identity in Christ instantly draws Him close. There's no missing His presence when you truly understand who you are with Jesus. The importance is underscored in today's world with the crowd of voices in our heads where satan wages war. Whispering the untruths that we are misunderstood, mistaken, misplaced, unloved, unheard, and unseen.
I need to take-action against satan's constant attempts to mask my true identity with Jesus. I need to remind myself daily that my identity does not lie in my mistakes, my weaknesses, my struggles, my temptations, my embarrassing moments, or those discouraging voices that satan tries to swirl in my mind. I need to take God's grace that pours over me to wash away all this evil messaging.
In its place, I need to amplify God's voice. Hearing loud and clear that I'm blessed, treasured, precious, and His special possession. I need to bask in His presence knowing that He's my protector and provider. My biggest weapon against satan is knowing Jesus rules over my mind, giving evil no place and no chance to corrupt who I am in Christ.
"Jesus, I know my value in You, and how valued I am by You! Silence satan's voice! In Your authority I claim that satan has no permission, no access, and no place to tell me who I am. I am only Your treasured child! I love you Jesus, Amen!"
1 Peter 2:9 (EHV)
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a hold nation, the people who are God's own possession."
Galatians 3:26 (NLV)
"You are now children of God because you have put your trust in Christ Jesus."
Psalm 139:1-2 (NLV)
"O Lord, You have looked through me and have known me. You know when I sit down and when I get up. You understand my thoughts."
