#4 Self Care
What does self-care look like for you? In reality, are you feeling compromised? Over-committed, over-extended, and even over-looked...even due to yourself? Everywhere I turn I see people that look exhausted, haggard, and depleted emotionally from long seasons of suffering and stress. Slowly plodding through life almost with a hollow and lifeless look in their eyes.

It takes guts to waive off God's help. I can't imagine hearing His invitation to cast all my worries, all my burdens over to Him and waive it off. Taking the cavalier approach, "Jesus, I'm certain You're busy with people that really need Your help! I've got this!" Yet it proves true true, whether it be willingly or naive mistake-making, satan is right there to affirm the decision as a good idea!

For myself, self-care translates into God-care. Raising my arms and accepting His invitation to support whatever I face. To look squarely at my challenges and with confidence say in my mind, "We've got this!" Even more-so, to look satan directly in the eyes and with full assurance tell him, "Get out of my say! You have no permission, no authority in my life...In Jesus' name!"

"Jesus, I'm brimming with Your confidence! I know I can dismiss satan in every area of my life, including how I' taking care of myself. Seeking You for all the rest, renewal, and bold assurance that we will overcome! I love you Jesus, Amen!"

Isaiah 30:15 (CJB)
"Returning and resting is what will save you; calmness and confidence will make you strong."

Psalm 34:17 (ISV)
"The Lord hears those who cry out, and he delivers them from all their distress."
Galatians 6:9-10 (ESV)
"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."
