'who i am in christ'

God's Special Possession

How many days have you faced where you felt like a bullied kid? A black eye, swollen lip, bullied, and beat up. Feeling like the first that's overlooked, and the last that is seen and heard. Seemingly like your head is on a swivel looking for someone...anyone that would reach out to you with assurance that you're going to be OK. Loneliness at its max!

I've periodically slipped into this space. Feeling like the weight of the world rests squarely on my shoulders and satan's perched right there whispering "Don't you want to give in? Don't you want to escape it all? Just give up!" Constantly tempting you with false promises of relief. God's message is so much more powerful, real, and available in an instant.

You are God's possession! Special, precious, and His most treasured creation over everything else in the world! At any low point immediately transition to a high point by soaking in His love. Let His love wash over you, soothing your wounds, healing your heart, and restoring hope. Our God will never leave His poetry, His workmanship, and His prized possession overlooked!

"Jesus, my outlook seemed so bleak but then I remembered who I am in Your eyes! You brought my gaze off staring at my problems and circumstances and up to Your outstretched arms. I feel renewed and encouraged to battle on! I love you Jesus, Amen!"

Deuteronomy 7:6 (ESV)

"For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth."

1 Peter 2:9 (CEB)

"But you are...a people who are God's own possession. You have become His people so that you may speak of the wonderful acts of the one who called you out of darkness into His amazing light."

Exodus 19:5 (GW)

"Then out of all the nations you will be my own special possession, even though the whole world is mine."
