What I am structuring as the “Reasons of Faith” are sometimes called ‘Journalistic Questions’ because all news stories should answer the 5 W’s and 1 H questions: Who? What? When? Where? Why? and How? You can ask the same questions when you want to understand the key elements of God’s design for your life. Knowing these builds a foundation of confidence in your soul and helps you know where you’re going and how you will get there. I’ve experienced this confidence many times. The head lowers, eyes narrow, and laser-like attention locks onto the target. It is the focus of a mother bear protecting her cubs. Odds of success play no role. The instinct to safeguard overrides all odds—it’s a pure, unwavering, and unstoppable desire to defend her offspring at all costs. Knowing the who, what, when, where, why, and how of faith can allow you to unlock the shackles that impede your progress. It’s a matter of letting go of what’s useless on earth and latching onto what’s helpful through God. There’s nothing more impactful than someone who has the Holy Spirit in their belly, empowering them to spurn the things that get in their way with an unyielding ‘I will never quit’ conviction.
