Isolation kills. It never produces hope or optimism. Isolation smothers momentum, depletes our health, and clouds our thinking. In warfare, solitary confinement is a form of torture. And when we’re compromised, spiritually, our vulnerability in isolation is right where evil strikes.
We need to cultivate the discipline to ask for help. Time after time, I witness people veer off course when they are too afraid to ask. Satan tricks them into going at it alone and exposing themselves to one of his most deadly weapons. Their defenses are weakened, and negativity grows like a rising tide until they barely have one nostril above the waterline. Jesus gives us his authority to fight back together, which is such a relief.
Facing the unknown starts with asking Christ and all the people He’s placed in your life to walk alongside you and encourage you. Isaiah 40:31 promises, “Those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength,” and defeat any demon in their path. All you have to do is ask for trust and deny Satan the advantage. Recognize his attempts to separate you from God’s army, and repeatedly respond by calling for help.
