Think of those moments when you’re hopeless, depressed, and feeling like you carry 100-pound weights in each hand. When you know what to do but you don’t want to do it. Our physical condition can often reflect our mental outlook. Still, we can elevate our moods with Christ to challenge such thoughts.
Make a cognitive decision to change your mood. Challenge your thoughts of hopelessness. As our mindsets and focus change, so will our thoughts; as our thoughts change, so will our circumstances. Focus on Jesus’s promise of hope. Replace “I can’t” with “I am,” and surrender to building momentum. You can share your experience of overcoming. You’ve done this before, and Christ can fuel you again.
