Romans 12:2 (GW)

I have been pondering what the term “mindfulness” means. To be mindful is to make deliberate defenses and offenses, asking God to identify negative influences, isolate them, and purge them. Acting mindfully minimizes the chance of evil getting in, for Satan is constantly launching arrows of negativity and an ongoing onslaught of attacks. We can defend, repel, and dismiss sin by acting mindfully against these negative thoughts.
By acting mindfully, we counter such attacks. Train your mind to view negatives as objects that you can isolate and destroy. Working on mindfulness allows for a God-inspired defense against Satan to overcome his attempts to destroy us.
