What baggage are you carrying? How heavy is it to bring regret, resentfulness, envy, and unforgiveness? In Matthew 6:15, the Bible says that if you do not forgive those who sin against you, God will not forgive you. “Really? I’m supposed to forgive those who have wronged me?” The answer is unequivocally, “Yes.” The burden grows heavier and heavier without forgiveness, whether you know it or not.
It is widely understood that an ongoing, unforgiving, bitter, and angry spirit breeds damage that spreads in our person like cancer. Mentally and physically, it erodes our body, mind, and heart. Throughout the Bible, God shows us how damaging unforgiveness is. Yet, many of us sludge our way forward carrying this 100-pound rucksack of toxicity. Let God in and give Him all your baggage. Free yourself; God has you covered.
