Where has God given you enthusiasm? Where do your passions lie? God gives us spiritual gifts, talents, time, dreams, and resources, and He also gives us confidence. He is the catalyst for the passion that has us leap from the bed, ready to experience what we love most. Today’s world is starved for enthusiasm, and we must act intentionally and deliberately to be God’s enthusiastic messengers.
I attended a reunion of my college teammates this week. As I scanned the room, I noticed decades of alums assembled, all from different eras and levels of achievement in our sport of tennis. All of them had played collegiately, and some had advanced to the professional level, establishing world rankings and competing at the highest level. A widespread array of personalities all carried one distinctive trait: a vibrant enthusiasm for life.
Regardless of ranking, our enthusiasm for life still binds us together. The desire to improve and elevate each other’s ability drives us to endure the pain and sacrifice. All things are possible when you let God in to fuel your enthusiasm.
