Wake Up Early

Psalm 143:8 (NLT)
“Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I trust you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.”

00:00 / 01:04

I love the quiet of early morning. Distractions are in check, movements are slow and methodical, and a world easily overlooked in the day’s commotion opens up. I soak in the slow pace of the early hours, witnessing God’s creation awake to the day. Whether through the mist on the landscape, waves lapping slowly on the beachfront, or birds drifting through the air, mornings have become a crucial time to slow my breathing, quiet my thoughts, and listen to the whispers of God as I open my day in prayer..

Taking designated time to start your day is critical. The consuming tasks of the day will be waiting for you on the other side. However, when we allow our minds to receive Christ’s plan for the day, He can reveal Himself to us and start a new work in us. Be open to His thoughts and impressions to unveil your path and fully assure you of His presence. New confidence can arise through knowing that your creator, guide, and protector are at your side as you launch into your day.
