Ignoring The Roar Of Satan

Proverbs 1 verse 5 says, “A wise person will listen.”

I glanced to a woman head down, vision cast to the ground, and shoulders shuddering as she attempted to mask her sobs. I walked up and said, “I’m a royal priest with a Masters in Apologetics. Can I help?” She stood and walked away!

How many times does intellectualizing our faith get in the way of simply extending a hand of compassionate saying, ‘I’m so sorry for your pain,’ and listening to their hurt.

The act of listening that restores hope and draws people to Christ. Just listen like Jesus does for you.

“Jesus, I’m distracted and overstudied to where there’s little time to simply love others. Help me see other’s pain. Help me speak less and listen more. Love you Jesus, Amen!”
