Matthew 11 verse 28 says, “Come to me . . . and I will give you rest!”

As an athlete, peak performance followed true rest. When physically restored and mentally focused, movement feel effortless, reactions sharp, and confidence naturally replaces hesitation.

Preparation determines performance. Establishing quiet evening routines improves sleep quality, strengthens emotional resilience, and enhances mental clarity needed to compete consistently at the highest level.

God designed rest as preparation, not weakness. Ignoring His rhythm invites fatigue, while intentional quiet restores strength, focus, discipline, and readiness to execute purpose fully.

“Jesus, I know to not burn the candle at both ends and yet, I allow fatigue in! Strengthen my discipline to follow Your plan! Give me rest to renew and perform at my best for Your glory! Love you Jesus, Amen!”
