Imagine driving down the highway. The weather is terrible, with blinding sleet, winds driving the rain and snow sideways, and unpredictable road conditions. Your driving ability is severely compromised. You look down for a split second and in that second, you encounter an obstacle in the road. You brace for impact. We’ve all driven in suspicious conditions and know accidents can happen quickly. Facing the unknown requires living agilely and correcting quickly to navigate what awaits us. Critical decision-making in the moment decides our fate. Our ability to adjust and adapt defines our ability to face the unknown successfully. The only thing in life that doesn’t change is Jesus. Faith demands that we’re ready and willing to pivot at all times. We are constantly adapting to God’s plan. For that reason alone, Jesus serves as our North Star to navigate life, and no matter what lies ahead, we can adjust our progress to get back on course.
