Casting my cares to God is not hinged on my ability, power, or strength. Releasing all my angst, stress, and worries comes through His strength, and He gives us full authority to draw on Him to do this and fight Satan with weapons that he cannot defend against. Amazingly, God gives His followers the authority to draw on His power. Like onlookers were in awe when Jesus cast out a demon in Luke 4:35: “The people were amazed. They said to each other, “What does this mean? With authority and power, he commands evil spirits, and they come out.” Jesus promises us that we have this same power to battle Satan. My most incredible moments of weakness come when the total weight of stress crushes my spirit and consumes my thoughts. These moments are when I can draw on God’s strength, trusting the Holy Spirit inside me will work to carry me through. I specifically ask for His power to remove all my worries and cast them to God instead.
