Enough To Lead
Colossians 2:6-15 (NLV)
“As you have put your trust in Christ Jesus the Lord to save you from the punishment of sin, now let Him lead you in every step. Have your roots planted deep in Christ. Grow in Him. Get your strength from Him. Let Him make you strong in the faith as you have been taught. Your life should be full of thanks to Him.”

Most of us do not purposefully look for danger, but danger finds its way to us anyways. With danger comes the burdens of fear, loss, loneliness, submission, flight, or the decision to face and overcome. Peril reveals itself in so many ways. Graphic examples include gunmen that assault unexpecting victims. But loss of income, loss of employment, and different kinds of financial strife are also perilous. Either way, there’s the common street reaction of “Oh Sh__!”
My industry has become such a model of peril as companies fail, flee, or flounder through radically changing market conditions. And with it, all of their respective labor pools accordion between the bookends of career wins and job losses, seemingly needing more time in between. These financial disrupters wreak havoc in our personal lives. Loss of income and debt feed the financial stresses that implode 60% of marriages. What can we do when facing danger like this? God is big enough to lead us, so the difficult, but right decision is to submit to following God and His teachings. Christ is big enough to handle any threat! The only option is to follow God’s road in front of us.
