Prayer, trust, and the power of God help us develop endurance through the trials of life. There is no other way to survive. God promises to reward us for loving and following Him on earth. Instead of submitting to discouragement or depression, shift your focus on the reward, depending on God’s power to see you through. We do not fuel our own endurance but are encouraged by God’s power and strength. It’s His power that enables us to obtain anything of value. It’s what allows us to be performers, to be over-comers. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, Jesus says, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” Rely on the power of Christ working in you, leading you towards the unseen. Endure the pain for the moment, knowing that God will reward you for holding to your faith.
