Most things start calmly. Initially, there may be plenty of money, food, and good health. In the beginning, relationships seem perfect. However, in an instant, change sets in. A single question swirls: “What will I do?” We pray urgent prayers for God to provide.
I remember once when I met a pilot, and we exchanged flying experiences. We shared our greatest moments during takeoff, airtime, and landing, including sensational sunrises and sunsets, wild electric storms, and the peace of smooth air. He said that after all his years in aviation, he was a master of takeoffs. I reflected and concluded that although it’s crucial to nail the launch, I would rather be a passenger in a plane where the pilot is a master of landings.
God is the master of all things. He is crafts beginnings, but He is the perfecter of the finishes. God is our provision. Besides providing a fitting end to our stories, He gives us enough to navigate any storm. Although abundance sometimes finds us, God never leaves us with less than we need, even through trauma and trials. Matthew 25:29 says, “For the man who uses well what he is given shall be given more.” He also will provide abundance when we steward the things He gives us.
