Do you ever ask, “How does Jesus talk to me?” Clear communication is essential, but I encourage you to consider that question. Some ways I’ve found God talks to me include verbal communication, sensory communication, inquisitive communication, visual communication, and listening communication. The list of forms is massive.
God works in various ways to lead, guide, and direct our lives. Urgency has a critical influence, but one method may be better than another, given the situation. For example, communicating with soft assurance to soothe your child is far different than how you would communicate when your child is about to step into harm’s way. The bottom line is that God wants us all to be brilliant communicators. The key is understanding how He communicates to us.
This series focuses on how Jesus speaks to us as the ultimate commander, leader, and encourager. Whether He communicates prophetically through prayer, trusted advisors, past experiences, His word, or even silence, recognizing how He speaks can draw us closer and deepen our relationship with Christ.
