Do you spend time with God daily or even more frequently? Do you treat Him like a genie or a friend to talk to on Sundays? I encourage you to create a routine and schedule a time devoted to God daily. Starting your day with Jesus has a significant impact. Intentionality can alter the course of your day and allow you to enter the day clear-minded, motivated, and free from yesterday’s regrets and tomorrow’s anxieties.
Starting the day with Christ confirms His presence. Every morning, He allows me to begin my day enthused, motivated, and agitated to address the day as His ambassador. Starting my day with Christ puts everything else in perspective. It’s enriching, pure, and positive. All else pales in comparison. Yet, many people choose to follow daily regiments that leave time with Jesus on hold. Jeremiah 2:32 reminds us: “Does a young woman forget her jewelry or a bride her wedding dress? Yet you have forgotten me days without end!” By committing to spend consistent time with God, we can cast our cares on Him and allow Him to carry our burdens.
