Start And End Your Day With Him
Luke 9:23 (ESV)
“Take up your cross daily and follow me.”

It is not hard to choose spending time with our Father versus watching one more video on TikTok or Snapchat. What if He asked, “Did you push me aside for reading another Tweet or scrolling through another post on Instagram?” We would not push our friend aside to scroll on social media in front of their faces. Yet we constantly choose the latter when it comes to spending time with God, getting sucked into the world’s distractions of the moment, and putting Jesus on hold.
I encourage you to create a new habit with your Father at the beginning and end of each day. Take full advantage of how Jesus instructs us to approach Him in Hebrews 10:22 by, “drawing near to Him with a true heart in full assurance of faith so He may sprinkle our hearts clean from an evil conscience.” Go directly to Him in prayer, trusting that He desires time with you. Spending time with Him magnifies His presence.
By starting your day with Christ, you’re entering your day with a plan. You can lay your troubles and anxieties at His feet and surrender what lies ahead. When I allow Him to immerse me in His peace, I experience His strength and might coursing through my spirit. And by entering the night peacefully, you too can lay all your hurts and concerns before the throne. Experience more intimacy with Jesus by soaking in His presence through prayer.
