What would it be like to have a conversation with Jesus? Is that even possible? So many of us have grown tired of talking to God and are longing to talk with God. Talking to God can feel like an echo chamber while waiting for Him to respond. Hearing God comes in different forms, and understanding how to listen can transform the way we communicate with God. An actual conversation dives deeper than simply asking God for attention on the list of chores lofted up in prayer. This next series will unpack how to communicate with God on a far more intimate level. God desires to communicate with us. Still, like any skillset, fundamental steps are necessary to anchor the practice, remove the barriers, and make the leap in faith that empowers us. For most of us, it is a stretch in our walk. We look for miracles, burning bushes, and divine acts as evidence of God before we initiate a conversation. In the next pages, I will focus on different kinds of prayer to engage with Christ our Father.
