Through His Images

Habakkuk 2:2-3 (CEV)
Then the Lord told me: “I will give you my message as a vision. Write it clearly enough to be read at a glance. At the time I have decided, my words will come true. You can trust what I say about the future.”

Personally, this is the most common way God speaks to me—in my moments alone. Typically, during a workout, my mind is free to wander and God fills it with images and impressions. It is almost a show of sorts, with God placing in my mind a host of pictures that guide my thoughts—visual prompters with specific details that unfold like one chapter of a book followed by another. My thoughts may wander, but as long as I seek God and ask for direction, He responds with an image or collage of images that suddenly pop into my mind. Some chalk these experiences up to being invalid, but to me, God is alive in real time and communicates through prayer and petition. Robust connectivity with God can exist in more mediums than audible words.
