Emotional Resilience
Feeling Calm

1 Peter 5:6 says, “Turn all your anxiety over to God because he cares for you. Keep your mind clear and be alert.”
Emotional resilience is not only about winning the battle. It is about the God-given ability to operate with a calm resolve, to navigate life with a steady hand.
The pilot that navigates a monster weather pattern, the physician performing life-saving surgery, or counselor working with a suicidal patient all exercise a calm resolve.
Individuals with high levels of emotional control are intentional. They refocus their minds and manage their feelings to be productive in the moment. They are deliberate and measured in their actions.
“Jesus, help me remain calm when facing danger. Help me perform with clarity and precision to overcome any challenge. Love you Jesus, Amen!”
